Maxima
I saw them…!

Went after work to buy a small gift for my niece Julia. Left work early so I had time to go to the Bijenkorf at the Dam. Bought a nice book about Witchcraft (she is 11 and a Potter-fan), sort of Witchcraft for Dummies.
When I wanted to go home I noticed that the royal family was still in the Koninklijk Paleis at the Dam. Saw the blue cars and the royal touring car standing.. so, waited a while. Was really funny. Everybody was talking to eachother, I was standing next to a 84 old man who almost attended the marriage of Juliana and Bernard in 1937 as a soldier. After waiting half an hour, we were lucky to see Queen Beatrix and the members of the royal family. A bit later, Maxima and Willem Alexander left too. Was the first time I saw them.

After they had left, it was amazing to see all the huge smiles on everybodies faces standing there. It was worth waiting…
