Good news!!!
When I got at the Weesperplein I saw my bike standing there with the key’s still in the lock. Hard to believe that know-one has seen the key’s there, I really love this city. Everyone is stealing each other bikes, but mine is still standing and waiting for me. I must have had a guardian angel on my sholder. I am so happy that my bike was still there. I must have been completely out of my mind when I left my bike this morning with the lock unlocked and the key’s still in them. Happy that I still have my ‘old friend’. Know now what my scoop was telling me about old friendships, it wasn’t the time for my bike and me to leave each other.
Why am I so attached to my bike, I hear you wondering… A bike is a bike. But it’s an old one, estimated from the early thirties, an old man at a bike repairshop once told me. The bike is a big one. You can bike very fast with it. It has been on a postcards sold in Amsterdam, had a little role in an Italian war movie set in Amsterdam (as an extra). It is getting really old now, the last few years it’s spending his time outside in the streets. It has got some new parts to over the years… I will post a picture soon here….

Had a nice drink and diner with my sis Hedwig. And a nice chat with Mieke from Ebonique . Funny to hear all the stories about the music industry in Europe. Rene this and that, TV shows for RTL2 in Majorca… awfull, but very usefull for the business. Hedwig is doing very well with the Manifesta Foundation . Next event will be in Frankfurt in 2002. Manifesta has been quit important over the years in my life. It was the first website I ever build, I met some very special people through this international event… Good to know that it is there to stay. More cities want to organise it in the future. Financial backings are also available. Maybe I can have a little role in the future for them again.

I have a smile on my face…
