Hmmm. Spend all evening protecting my puter. Had yesterday evening and this morning problems with sending any e-mails. Outlook didn’t react, my keybord closed and send unfinished messages… I lost control of my puter. Normally rebooting fixes the problem, but not this time. Got a strange e-mail from someone I didn’t know, it got a strange title and an attachement with a doc file. Content of the mail was:

Hi! How are you?
I send you this file in order to have your advice
See you later. Thanks

I deleted the message immediately. Later I saw this article:  SirCam virus hides in the trash . This virus (or worm) nests in your trashcan and will use MS Outlook to send word, excel and other files to people from your Outlook adressbook. The virus is only active on Windows machines. Luckely I didn’t open the attachement. So I got the latest virus software from McAfee . My puter spend allmost 2 hours searching for stuff. Nothing was found which could be from the SirCam worm has been found yet. But still no explanation for my stange behaving puter yesterday. Again I installed the latest version of PGPnet Firewall. Hopefully I’m safe for now. Have to check further a McAfee for a more recent update of their viruskillers. [ nederlands ]

Went earlier today to check for the small kinky Canon Ixus 300 digital camera. I really want one of those. According to the girl in the shop, they are in high demand. They are making waitinglists for them, time of the next ‘shipment’ is unknown…. Hmmm, frustating when you have made up your mind and you still have to wait…
