Went to the doctor this morning to get my vaccinations for Costa Rica. Got two injections, one arm each. Had to wait a while at the GG&GD. Was nice to observe the medical crew around there. Got the feeling I wouldn’t have mind working there. Was a nice atmosphere. Some of you might now know, but I almost became a doctor myself. Studied for years for the medical profession. Decided one day that it was not my call.
Once in a while I run into one of my former ‘medical-friends’. Nice to see how they have managed to become a doctor… My destination is somewhere else, I decided 10 years ago…

Just for fun I typed the URL of the AMC  (where I studied medicine) to check out their website… guess what? They have launched today a brand new site. Haven’t been there since at least 5 years. Their new site is a great example of a very very ambitous webmaster and webteam. Too much gimmicks around. Maintenance will be very difficult. Graphics are way to heavy, a java tickertape on the homepage (we’ve had that before), why not a simple javascript version?  Wonder how it will look in 6 months from now…
