Had a great day today…. Sunshine the whole day… In the morning it was freezing cold with a clear blue sky…. what a way to get up!

Went to the photostudio and had a some pictures taken… some inside and outside… hope to get the results soon… they are slides, so have to find a way to put some of them online.

After this, had to go to the bank to turn in a part of my coin collection. (for everyone outside europe: we’ll have a new currency-system in Europe starting the first of January. All our guilders, french francs, german marks, spanish peseta’s will become useless or worthless. We are all changing from our local currency to the Euro (or eurodollar). I had Dutch coins lying all over the place and collected them all, put them in my backsack, which became quite heavy and had it’s value put on my account… Soon have to go to Belgium to do the same.

Since the weather was so great, I took my camera after lunch outside and headed on my bike towards Zeeburg, the former harbor area in Amsterdam, this area is in the last ten years booming with new houses and other buildings. It has been a long time (2 years) since I had been there. Many things have changed there now, many buildings have grown, streets and bridges appeared.. A few years ago, we had been looking here for a home, but didn’t succeed for many reasons. Now I saw some of the places again, and I’m happy that we didn’t decide for it then. It’s beautifull, waterfull, you see a lot of sky, but: houses are small and the place is still very remote. It doesn’t have a city feeling. Sometimes you have the feeling to live outside, which you actually do…

I went through there this afternoon, and I enjoyed it a lot… Great photo-oppurtunities, which meant there where many photgrapher today around there. Hmmm.
