Starting to work is difficult again. At 08:00 in the morning 2002 kick-off with champagne and breakfast with department… ate way to much… skipped lunch.
Outside everything is white, snow on the ground (icey snow) and a white sky. Can’t see buildings on the other side of the railtrack…

Spend my first €’s today on CDees…. All amounts are smaller now, which gives you the idea everything is cheaper… instead of 9,90 it’s now 3,40 (in euro’s).

The NS (Dutch Railway’s) have launched two day’s ago a new website . A nightmare for everyone involved in such a huge introduction, it’s still full of errors… First you need to have the correct browser… IE4 or higher. I got this message when using the latest Netscape 6.2.1. At some pages, the style sheet is not loaded correct, or am I watching a screen layout design for my mobile? At the homepage, to often there are pop-ups presented, with scroll-bar, which is mega annoying… [ more in dutch ]

Today, the managing board and two director had to resign. They didn’t manage to score the 80% ‘train arrive in time’ requirement set by our goverment. They scored only: 79,9%… ha, ha, ha… So… they are sacked. If you know that most of the traincrew of the railways were late with their trains for one minute on purpose, it’s not difficult to understand what kind of chaos it’s there in Utrecht right now. Good luck guy’s, I’m happy I don’t travel everyday by train.

One last positive thing about their new website… it’s fast and every page arrives in time…. no delay’s seen so far.
