A few weeks ago I wrote about my experiences with mouses at my appartment at the Lijnbaansgracht. Maybe my story attrackted some animals in my neighbourhood. Becouse since a few weeks I’m sharing my current house with one or two mouses. It started at night when I woke up by a scratchy sound in my bedroom. Lights on and checking the room. Silence… back in the dark and back a sleep, I heared again a scratchy sound near my head, but behind the wall. A hit against the wall and the sound stops. The mouse seems to have settled in a isolation space between me and my neighbours. This space is full of rockwool. And there is no entrance from this space into my room, so catching them or poisining them is very hard. Last saturday I moved my bed to the livingroom. The noise was so afwull, didn’t close an eye all night. Sleeping is now better, but last night I tried it again and it was less awfull. maybe he is tired, or close to starvation. This afternoon I had someone to catch them, a guy from Rodentia / Ongediertebestrijding. He couldn’t understand that there were mouses in my house, which is at the third floor and only 3 years old. For a moment he thought I was going nuts, that I was hearing mouses on the inside of my brainskull. Thought of that myself before but discoverd that moving my bed to the livingroom stopped the scratchy noise of the mouses. Well, was looking forward for this mouse-killer, he had all cool equipement with him, but unfortunately, he couln’t do anything. He was not going to drill a hole in the wall to put poison there… so he left without doing anything. Well, he said that mouses really like Rockwool  and that they will leave after they’ve eaten it…. well, that can take ages.

Have to go to the postoffice now, to pickup a package which didn’t fit in the mailbox. Wondering what will be inside?
