i-mode
created this evening my first i-mode website. i-mode is a new mobile phone system created by NTT DoCoMo from Japan. Recently it was introduced by KPN in Germany and in The Netherlands. I’m not sure if it will become a succes. in japan it is… The alternatives are here allready: almost everyone has an pc at home or at work… But, maybe soon we want to be online on the beach, in the bus, in the metro… i-mode is the way to do it with, online all the time, you pay only for the data you get.
Well, I tried some things out and managed to create a site myself: got to the i-mode emulator at X-9 : i-MIMIC : 0.99 and type in: my url http://www.fijen.net/imode/ . You’ll see a startpage and some links… some are already working. use the keys to navigate.
wanna know more about i-mode? the pages use simple html-code, with some special features for navigation, where u use 0 for home and 1 to 9 for the links. also some i-mode characters (emoji’s), are in the package.
