In the 2014 campaign for the Volvo XC60, Volvo joined arms with Swedish House Mafia and Lune. Parts of theirs music video ‘Leave the World Behind You’ where shot on this location in Norway.
Hoddevik is today best known for a mile-long sandy beach which is considered to be one of Norway’s best surf places. In fact, many say that it is one of the best in the world! In Hoddevik it is year around when it comes to surfing. Stad Surfing and Surf School Lapoint drive actively surfing all year round, and there exists overnight stops where both beginners and experienced surfers can address them before they put out in waves.
Hoddevik is very popular for surfers from all over the world. In Nordfjord Hoddevik is the best spot in west-swells. Hoddvik is also very good under extremely windy conditions due to the tall mountains surrounding the spot and protecting it from heavy winds.
