One of the best international war reporters must be John Simpson. He has been gassed in the Iran/Iraq war and shot in Beijing, China. He also has spend a lot of time in the Pakistan – Afghanistan region. Already in april 1996 he wrote an article about the first attemps of the Taliban to overthrown the Islamic goverment in Kabul.  Two months ago, I saw a BBC Panorama documetary about the Taliban and about the restrictions the women had under their ruling. Really awfull, unhuman situation.
