<start-quote>’Husan’ was originally the work of Dutch producers, Husan, aka Niels Zuiderhoek and Jeroen den Hengst. The duo were originally approached by Peugeot to create a tune blending an exotic Bhangra style with a western funk-sound for their new Peugeot 206 TV advertising campaign (you might have seen it!). Although composing music for TV ads was never their ambition, Husan jumped on the opportunity straight away. They hooked up with Indian singer Raja (guest vocalist) and initially released the track under the artist name Bald N Spikey. The ad in question has since been voted the ‘best advert ever’ by Radio Four listeners. ( more )
