Royal Messages To Sweden And The Netherlands

Bandar Seri Begawan – His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to send congratulatory messages to His Majesty Carl XVI Gustaf, the King of the Kingdom of Sweden and Mr Goran Persson, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the King of Sweden, according to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office.

At the same time, His Majesty also sent a congratulatory message to Her Majesty Queen Koningin Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard, the Queen of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Mr Jan Peter Balkenende, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on the occasion of the Queen’s Day, according to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office.

In the message to King Gustaf, His Majesty expressed his satisfaction with the recent Royal Visit to Brunei by the King to Brunei Darussalam that will further strengthen friendship and deep understanding that had long been established between both countries.

His Majesty hoped that the close bilateral relations and productive cooperation would be maintained and enhanced in the future for the good of both countries and peoples.

His Majesty also hoped that King Carl XVI Gustaf would always remain in good health and happiness and for the people of Sweden to always enjoy continued progress and prosperity.

In a similar congratulatory message to Mr Goran Persson, Prime Minister of Sweden, His Majesty congratulated Mr Persson and the Government and People of the Kingdom of Sweden on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the King of Sweden.

His Majesty also expressed his satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations that had long been established between the two countries and wished that this would be maintained and enhanced for the mutual benefits of the two countries and peoples. His Majesty also wished the Prime Minister of Sweden continued good health and happiness for the prosperity of the people of Sweden.

Meanwhile in the message to Her Majesty Queen Koningin Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard, the Queen of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Mr Jan Peter Balkenende, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, His Majesty expressed satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations and deep understanding that had so long been established between the two countries. In a separate congratulatory message, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs also sent congratulatory messages to Laila Freivalds, Sweden’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Dr Bernard Rudolf Bot, the Netherlands’ Minister of Foreign Affairs, according to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the message to Laila Freivalds, HRH congratulated His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf and the Royal Family of Sweden together with the Government and People of the country on the Birthday of His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf. HRH noted his happiness with the way in which the bilateral relations and cooperation had been progressing over the years and looked forward to working further to continue strengthening these warm relations.

In the message to Dr Bernard Rudolf Bot, the Netherlands’ Minister of Foreign Affairs, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah sent his warmest respects to Her Majesty Queen Beatrix and the Royal Family and also congratulated Dr Bernard, the Government and People of the Netherlands on the Queen’s Day.
